Logo

Special anniversaries, especially at the milestone of 25 years and counting, allows for something memorable and unique to stand out in the long history of these hugely popular brands. While the company itself has created it's own 25th year logo involving the ubiquitous Pikachu, its concept could be pushed to be more dynamic. Exploring the forms of Pikachu, a Pokémon trainers hand with a Pokè Ball, and the first ever starter Pokèmon introduced in the orginal game, these sketches helped determine where the most effective result lie.

Card Back

Pikachu is the face of Pokémon, with expressive ears, squat stature, and lightning-bolt tail, anyone can a Pikachu. One of the main characteristics in this world is Pokémon battles and the power they possess, so showing Pikachu in a more active pose conveys that. The logo becomes more dynamic with shifts between positive an negative space, and utilizing the tail as part of the 2.

Card Package

It would be fun to have these cards reside in a package similar in size to the box that the games came in back then. The back resembles the shape of Game Boy game cards.
